Selah Sail takes clients on a case by case basis following referral by a physician, nurse practitioner, social worker or counselor. Referral of a client does not guarantee participation in a retreat. Clients must meet the following criteria before they are considered for a Selah Sail retreat:

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* Must be between 8 weeks (minimum) and 8 months (maximum) post treatment for breast cancer

* Must be able to share cabin space with another client for one week

* Is not required to have sailing experience

* Clients are encouraged to seek sponsors to cover the cost of the trip.  A sample sponsor letter is available here: Sample fund raising letter.doc

* All donations and gifts on behalf of a client will be placed in an account for that client to be used for that trip. Excess funds will be placed in a scholarship fund.

* All donations/gifts should be written to "Selah Sail" and are tax-deductible.

* Trip fee: $3000 includes airfare, travel insurance, vessel rental/insurance, local taxes/fees associated with sailing, food and provisioning, and one hotel night. It does not include airport fees and taxes, tips or souvenirs.
